Raw Milk Cream – Good for Coffee and Tea? Yes!
Just a short note here. I had ordered some tea from specialteas.com, my favorite place for ordering tea because they have great service, great tea, and also reviews from actual humans that you can read to figure out what you want to order. This is helpful to me because I am a coffee person and not really a tea person, although I do enjoy the occasional cup of tea.
Anyway, I placed an order because I noticed that the last order I had placed was years ago (loose leaf tea lasts a long time in my house). One of the teas I ordered was the Assam Harmutty – I could be spelling that wrong, I am too lazy at the moment to look it up. I also ordered about 5 others including a few samples (all for something like 13 bucks, what a deal….my coffee orders are usually at least $50). Last night I tried the Assam and added in a bit of raw milk cream and sugar. Totally delicious! I am not normally one to put milk or cream in my tea at all but this particular tea seemed to call out for some cream. I skimmed some off the top of one of my half-gallon jars of fresh raw milk. Absolutely excellent.
So I highly recommend raw milk cream for your tea or coffee. Although to be fair, some teas don’t seem to need any cream, but if you get a stronger or fuller bodied black tea, give it a try. If you are wondering where in your area you can find some raw milk for cream, cheese, yogurt, etc., try realmilk.com. You can see the farms in your area that sell raw milk to the public for either human consumption (if legal in your state) or pet consumption (if not legal in your state to sell to humans). Be aware that just because they say the milk is for pet or animal use only, it is fine for humans. They simply have to say that because of the laws in the state. In my state it is only legal to sell raw milk for pets, so any raw milk you buy will have that written on the container. I only mention this because some people are put off by that but just ignore it. (Although of course my pets love the milk too!)
So get some raw milk cream and enjoy in your tea or coffee.
